I took my 6 month old HTC One in for repair on 9th of May. They said they would have to send it to the HTC service centre and it would take 10 days. 10 days later I called and the attitude was: Don't be ridiculous - who told you that? it will take a month and that HTC usually take this long. Also that I shouldn't worry to call again they will call when it comes in.
Today (13th June) I called them, they didn't seem to know what I was talking about & said that they would call me back
Finally they called saying it had just arrived back from Vodacom (Not HTC) & that they couldn't fix it so I must collect it.
So:
1) They moved the goal posts as far as how long it would take
2) They didn't contact me & update me - I did have to call them
3) my phone mysteriously appeared coincidentally on they day I called - I think they only followed up on the issue having been prompted by me
4) Did it go to Vodacom or to HTC?
5) The phone is only 6months old so it should be replaced.
6) They generally have a bad attitude, I didn't like they way the spoke to me or the way they spoke to their staff.
7) They don't take ownership of the problem at hand and generally pass the buck
