Edgars (RSA) are so pathetic, I just want to pay off my account and close it.
When I opened my account with Edgars a devision of Edcon in Feb 2013, they did not ask me if I wanted to join-in in all the extra products that they offer except buying clothes which I was there for. Instead they opened multiple accounts for me ranging from Edgars Club Card, Life Insurance, Accidental Fund, Salary Protection, the list goes on. When I discovered that I was paying for all these nonsense 3 months down the line as result that my account balance just wasn't going down instead it increased, I quickly rushed to the branch where I opened my account. I inquired about these so called added accounts and why wasn't I notified on the day of opening the account that they would be added in my account, and the lady assisting me just said sorry.
Sorry is all they could say, I closed all the added nonsense I was paying for immediately and my money which i had payed for the past 3 months was not refunded. I was more furious to learn that I had to still pay for that current month after closing all added accounts which I did not need.
Edgars is just running a to pay off their big debts by ripping us off
