On Saturday evening we (myself and a friend) bought two racks of ribs from your butchery. We cooked them and ate them, and as an very good cook of such nature I was surprised to find them tasting off. Sunday morning I was violently ill, and by Sunday evening was advised to go be booked into Medicity. Today I have taken of work and as a result have lost income.
Sunday during the day, the same friend went back to your store and checked and found NUMEROUS meat items to be past their sell by dates, including ribs, bacon and mince.
You do realise people can DIE from eColli and Salmonella poisoning. Who is going to pay for the lost income for a days work lost, for my absolutely awful ordeal and discomfort over the last 36 hours, not to mention the R200 medication cost.
Off meat on the shelf is literally poisoning people. If I had the physical capacity to stand up and walk around - which I don't yet - I would come to the store and complain in person.
Disgusted. Will not be shopping there again, and am considering reporting it to health authorities.
