Sometime in April on a Saturday afternoon I received a call from Edcon call centre asking me if i had any transactions with my card that particular day in which I did not. The agent told me that there were transactions with my card and blocked it immediately.

Now after their investigation my account was cleared but I have apparently subsribed for Edgars club in which I know for a fact i did not. I called them to cancell that subscription (they did not) and investigate how did I subscribe. The rude and annoying lady from their customer service just said I should pay. Its R135 that I owed and can pay it easily but my problem is the principle behind it. I called the next day and was told this club thing was opened in johannesburg CBD branch, the same branch where there were transactions on my account. So they inconvinience me with poor systems in which i suspect inside job in the same branch and join a club account i will never be interested into to top it up the consultant was disgustingly rude. Nx edcon take your account and business and shove it where the sun will never shine
