I went into Woolworths Liberty Midlands Mall to refund an item I had purchased with my debit card. The teller then proceeded to do the refund back into my debit card at which point I questioned her. She confirmed she was refunding the amount due to me directly into the account. It is now 96 hours later and the money has not come into my account. I callled the store and spoke to a women named Thembi who verified the transaction and proceeded to ask me to come into the store with My bank statement etc. I would like to know why the burden of Woolworths inefficient use of technology falls on me. I spent time and money to go into the store and now I must go back? Had they refunded me my cash there would be no problem. I am waiting for the store manager to respond. Please do not employ methods that your staff are not trained to carry out. Disgusted.
