SURNAME JUST CHANGED ON ACCOUNT

For many many years I have been an account holder with Edgars, now for the last 3-4 months my surname has just changed to something else that I cannot even prenounce. Several times I called an lay complaints after which I was advised that this will be corrected, this was just wasted airtime and time, because nothing happened! I got a call from a man who advised me that I must make copies of my IDbook and Edgars card, get it certified and take it to my nearest branch. He also advised that he cannot tell me how and why my surname was changed! Why must I now go through al this trouble if this was not my fault? if you are now so strickt on correcting my surname, how was it changed it the first place without my authorization or knowledge? my daughter sent an email to the accounts and customer relations emails with a copy of my IDbook and card. I want my surname corrected without futher trouble!
