Lengthy queues, end-of-the-month shopping rush... not on anyone's list of to-do things for a Sunday morning. Imagine our delight upon meeting Lydia Masemola at the cashiers post! Friendly, helpful and overall extremely cheerful. Following a scanning error on a product (erroneously charged as R999 instead of R34.99) her bright attitude and cheerful demeanour immediately saw the bright side to the situation and made light of a potential heated exchange (as is sometimes the case with irrational customers immediately out to blame the cashier rather than the system).
Well done to Lydia for uplifting the image of Pick&Pay and making us, the customer feel valued and cared for! She deserves praise for her outstanding attitude and commitment to service.
