I went to pick a pay at Vaall Mall to grab less than 5 Items. To my surprise I found 5 tills to be extremely quiet and wnet there. I was tapped on my shoulder and reminded that these are for Students only. I asked where is the till for 'baskets only' or items less than 5? It seems to appear that I have to go all the way to the other side of Pick a pay and fall into a quie of 9 customers to pay 3 items. I was also told this is implimented to help us too?? THe other tills are flooded with non-student shoppers and the frustration of each customer who is showed away from the open 5 student tills is evident. What you actually display is discrimination and that the student shoppers are more valued than our normal shoppers. I do have respect for a que for the elderly or disabled, as one can understand the nature of shopping for them. But young students??? 5 tills???
This is absolutely nonsens! Bad example of equel rights! ASK AFRICA - most trusted retailer award for 2012 for Pick-a-pay... what a joke! Next time I would rather shop at Woolies, pay more and que equally amongst all shoppers!!
