I bought a pair of brown ankle boots from Zoom about two years ago. I wore it that season, but last winter I lived in Zanzibar, therefore only unpacked them again this winter in South Africa. On the first day of wearing them again, the left foot boot started peeling its top layer off, exposing the material underneath, in this case black. the right hand side boot is in perfect condition. Despite sending Zoom, and in particular Samantha McCay, photos of the boots, showing the otherwise mint condition they are in, and explaining further that I have to spend a good amount of money in having every right hand side shoe of every pair I buy, built-up due to a car accident that left me shorter on the right, she replied that Zoom is not interested in my complaint. Her argument being that they sell these particular type of boot to last only one season. Can you and I afford to buy shoes to last only one season? I was hoping for at least a credit towards a further purchase to replace an otherwise perfect pair of boots which I cannot wear anymore as it looks unsightly.
