On the 1 September 2012, I bought a sleigh bed at furniture city, cape gate. When I assembled the bed after delivery I found that the outer part of the sleigh bed has an patch on it. This patch does not even match the colour of the sleigh bed. The assumption that can be drawn from this was that the bed that I bought wasn't new, but refurbished.
They sold me a repaired sleigh bed. I immediately phoned furniture city and launched a complaint. I was informed that an inspector will come to inspect the bed, however this never realised. I received a call from the from furniture city asking me if my complaint was addressed, which I answered no.
The operator indicated that they received information that it was dealt with, and he will refer it back to the cape gate furniture store.
About a month plus later, I received a call from the complaint operator, that they received a request that the complaint should be closed, as they could not get hold of me. I again furnished them with two cellular phone numbers, but to date received no responses. The operator also, indicated that the regional manager wants to speak to me, which never realised.
This is a classic example of appalling customer service
