Don't trust this company's "expert" advice

In the process of renovating bathrooms, I followed the advice of CTM staff and fitted a "Typhoon" shower trap with so-called "high flow-rate". Disaster struck when we used the shower for the first time. The flow rate was too low causing flooding from the frameless shower. I called CTM, spoke to a Dippie who arranged with the agent to check the problem on-site. When this didn't happen after a few days of waiting, I called Dippie again and was given the assurance that I can replace the trap and will be refunded by CTM. A very SMALL token (R350) considering the cost and inconvenience of breaking out and replacing a shower trap after all was neatly done. Imagine my disgust when I was told by CTM Menlyn that Dippie's been fired and they won't refund me because the unit was damaged. Furthermore, the "customer service" dept's promises to investigate and revert to me, just didn't happen. (why bother to have such a lame department???) Lesson learnt: Don't expect any after sales service from CTM. Regardless of how much money you spend with them. I regret having spent so much with them when I could've taken my business elsewhere where after-sales service matters!
