On the 1st of May, my wife, son and I visited the Mr Price Sport store in The Grove mall. While I was helping my son pay for his goods, my wife, whom is 29 weeks pregnant with twins, started walking back to the car. As she went around the corner from the cashiers, she slipped on one of the clothes hangers lying in the isle. Another customer came around the corner and told me what happened and I rushed to her aid. Even while stating that she's pregnant, none of the staff apologised nor offered to help us. I helped my wife to get up and after paying for the rest of the goods, we went home. She mentioned that her knee, thigh and pelvic region were sore, but it got progressively worse over the weekend. On Monday she was admitted to hospital having been diagnosed with subluxation of the symphysis pubis. She received physiotherapy and pain medication. She was discharged on Thursday, but the pain returned again. It's so excruciating that she can hardly walk to the bathroom. With my wife in utter pain and the risk of our babies being born prematurely, I hold Mr Price Sport responsible and I consider their staff uncompassionate, inconsiderate and negligent to the safety of their patrons.
