I purchased a Genesis Hydrovac from Game, Centurion Mall on 16 September 2012. I went on holiday for 5 weeks and on my return when using the vacuum cleaner it did not provide the same suction power as advertised. I returned the Hydrovac to Game and they requested me to go to Verimark, Centurion Mall to state my case there. At Verimark, I was informed that they would send the Hydrovac for repairs, but I would like a new Hydrovac as the product is guaranteed for 2 years. I was informed by the sales person that the Hydrovac cannot be replaced as it is an older version and that the price for the new version is R1699 and I paid R1599. I told the sales person that I am willing to pay the extra R100 if need be so that I can get a new Hydrovac. If I wanted the vaccum cleaner repaired I would have asked for that! Please advise, because I would like my money refunded if a new vacuum cleaner cannot be provided.
