No spares for D2 gatemoto

I bought a D2 gatemotor from SCW late in 2012 and on 26 March 2013 approached SCW with a faulty part which I hoped could be tested or replaced.

The technical department told me that the part in question could not be tested there (no attempt was even made to look at the part in question) and that I needed to speak to the stores. The stores department told me they do not keep spares and the best they could do was to send it to Centurion and that would take a week or I could take it there myself.

How is it possible that an item that is marketed for its improved security measures can take a week to repair and that absolutely nobody with regards to technical, sales or stores really cares if it takes that long. Has anyone thought of just having one service exchange part in stock (motor and limit switch) besides the controller board?

I have since repaired the limit switch magnet myself and will avoid using SCW as far as possible in future after years of loyal support.
