I am being continually harassed by an ADT officer in the Blaauwberg / Tableview are for the past year. i gather at the beach with some friends in the evening to relax and unwind and have been harassed by this officer who demands that we leave the beach and parking areas. He is rude, swears and is generally uncouth about us and his superiors when we say that we will report him. We have witnessed him on several occasions acting outside his scope of duties as confirmed by ADT. This has clearly angered him and he is determined to remove us from the beach and car parks at the beach. I have reported him twice in writing but have not had the courtesy of a reply from ADT. He is aware of my reports and states openly that nobody can touch him and I am wasting my energy. Now we are being victimised for reporting him and he states that he will chase us away from the area. What jurisdiction does he have over the beach and car parks? Who pays him to patrol these areas? Clearly ADT does not take my complaint seriously. He is a bad advert for ADT and surely does not carry the blessings of the company. I have offered to meet with his superiors but again have not even received a reply.
