Spoke to Busisiwe at ADT yesterday about a cancellation that I sent in last year January 2012. I asked why my contract was not cancelled in September 2012 when the contract was up.
I was told, that a cancellation letter can only be sent in 1 month before cancellation. No more, no less. So because I gave them 9 months notice, it was ignored and they have continued to take my money.
I forgot about it because my alarm has not gone off since then that I can remember. On Friday 22 February 2012, my alarm went off at about 15:45. The response car arrived 16:40. Luckily it was a false alarm. This reminded me that I had cancelled.
However, now it is claimed either that I did not or that I did it too early. Either case seems to work for them. I had to forward the old cancellation letter which I did which is also now claimed that I have not. I have a ticket no. ECBA127513F28 which they tell me is useless and that I need to rather send the email to Busisiwe directly?
