I wanted to put in an alarm system so I call ADT for a quote. Once I agreed to buy a unit for monitoring/armed response, I was notified that as my area (De Deur, JHB south) is a high risk area, ADT does not offer armed response, but they will monitor. The sales person (Humphrey) assured me that I won't be tired to any contract if I buy the unit. He assured me that I will not have any issues. When the tech's came to do the installation I requested that they connect the alarm to the electric fence energizer which was refused as they were not allowed. The sales guy told me that they would do this when they come out. It took almost 5months and numerous calls for someone to come and connect the energizer. A month or 2 later I stopped receiving notifications when the power went out or the alarm was triggered. They eventually sent someone again after a few calls. That was the last straw, so I sent a cancelation on the 14th JAN 2013. I requested feedback but did not receive any until I called. Since then I have had an endlist problem of getting incorrect info and being pushed from pillar to post and again yesterday I was promised feedback before the close of business but did not receive.
