Cancelation of contract

I want to cancel my contract with ADT. I contact the call centre and they informed me I need to send them a mail. I sent a mail on Monday the 20/01 no feedback or acknowledgement. I sent a mail on Wednesday 22/01 no feedback or acknowledgement. On Thursday morning I receive an SMS stating they are not able to contact me. No missed call on my cell. I was at my house no calls on home phone. On the SMS a contact number was provided I have been calling this number from when I received the SMS. This just rings with no answer for two days.
