No respect for the ECT Act

I received a cold direct-marketing call from ADT yesterday, even though I have never done any business with them, and I am registered on the National Opt-Out database. I asked the caller where ADT got my contact information, since the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act of 2002 entitles my to that information. She refused to answer the question, and then suddenly became rude and put the phone down in my ear. Either ADT's call-center staff are very badly trained (they really should know their legal obligations), or ADT obtained my contact information by dishonest means. I don't know which it is, but either way, I find the way I was treated and the attitude of the person who called me completely unacceptable.
