Standard Bank
Unsolicited Contacting by [BEEP] Bank

To whom it may concern,

It is my assertion that I specifically opted not to to receive contact from Standard Bank (SBSA) w.r.t. marketing and sales of products. Today, I got a call (and it's not the first time) from Floyd. I knew he was trying to sell a SBSA product. I questioned him, and he confirmed, but he'd first like to verify if I STILL do not wish to receive info/marketing from SBSA... This in its own is unsolicited badgering, and is contradictory of what I as a consumer chose, and/or did not choose. You clearly knew that I don't want to be contacted in terms of SPAM.

NO! means NO!!! I did not consent for this in any medium, manner or form. SBSA is interrupting my work, calling from a private number which I cannot bar. Even if I chose to bar withheld numbers, I cannot possibly comprehend if people contact me businesswise from withheld numbers, crippling vital communications.

The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002, the Protection of Personal Information Bill and the Consumer Protection Act, all protect me. It is legislated that you are in direct violation of my rights, making SBSA liable. I will be lodging a formal complaint with the NCC in this regard.
