On 1 Nov I met with a salesman for RSS to get armed response at my new home where there is a current alarm system, so only membership with a company was required. I was tols the activation will take 3 working days. On the 8th, they phoned wanting to set up an appointment to install a radio pad on the 13th (12 days after initial meeting). I told them I want to cancel my application as this was a bad first impression for an armed response company's speed of service. I spoke to 3 people over the next week trying to cancel with no feedback. Wendy then helped me to cancel my application (but never giving feedback when promised and I had to keep following up). In the meantime, I received an invoice from them, which I told Wendy better not go off my bank account at the end of the month to which I was assured it wouldn't. About a week after cancellation, I have now received bank notifications that my sign up fee of R500 and membership fee of R349 have gone off my account. Once again I have to phone numerous times to find out when I will be refunded as I don't get any feedback and the accounts department can only confirm the amount of R500 so can't give me an answer.
