At 1.30 am on Friday 26 April our alarm was activated.. At least 5 minutes later we had a brief call from ADT asking if everything was ok. We assumed the armed response unit was on their way - ha ha!! You actually have to wait for the call and then tell them you are in trouble, ask them to send the armed response and then wait for the armed response!!! to arrive We cannot see our garden from upstairs in our home and we actually had two intruders who entered our garden but were frightened off by the alarm siren. They entered our neighbour's garden and goods from there! On Friday morning we contacted the salesman Praneshan Ankiah who is an amazing person and responded to a quote for an additional sensor in our garden. We paid the required 50% deposit on Friday 26 April and have had NO response from ADT as to when, if ever we will get the extra sensor! We live in Umhlanga where crime is increasing and cannot justify paying a monthly fee for armed response that doesn't exist and not receive ANY response even after paying a deposit! We will be approaching Wendy Knowler on Thursday to cancel our contract with ADT and get a refund of our deposit for the new sensor.
