Around mid year this year, a SMS was received requesting clients for an additional fee and ADT will up their activity in the area by 60%. It was the whole REPLY YES to opt in type of message. I wasn't interested and didn't reply. The company now has conveniently OPT'ed YES on my behalf. Day light from a securtiy company.
In addtion, we had our lounge doors flung open by the storms experienced at the end of November 2013. Alarms were blaring and my wife and I were running around like headless chickens for fear of our daughters life. ADT did call in 6 minutes, I didn't reply because I was scanning around the house for possible threats. They then reached my wife 2-3 minutes thereafter which leaves us at the 10 minute mark. I do fear that 10 minutes is unacceptable for private security as I would rather rely on the SAPS should this be the common service experienced. ADT also had an advert recently where they proactively send armed response at the alert of an alarm. I fear that was not the case here unless the vehicle was coming from Pretoria?
Service in general has been good but with my recent experience I just want to note to ADT that they are on a thin line with me.
