Mix Telematics Africa (Matrix Vehicle Tracking)
Matrix claims for non-functioning/unsafe tracke

I had a contract with Matrix for a vehicle tracker. The contract started in June 2009 and was to end May 2012. Within the first year of the tracker in early 2010, I realised that the tracker was not working as the wires were lying loose. Even the emergency button which is supposed to be hidden secretely and known only to vehicle owner was hanging loose (this was most disturbing and highly risky to me), you could press and nothing happened when I tested it. I then called Matrix to inform them about this and they were unwilling to assist, and I informed them that I was going to stop any payments going to them. I further told them I could no longer have the device in my car and they could come and remove it, the told me my only option was to find someone else to buy it from me, I told them they can initiate that themselves. Now matrix is claiming an amount of R3655.16 from me because they say I should have paid through.
