Cannot close previous owners account

I brought a property from a deceased estate, but rented the property before the deal went through. I was paying for ADT as that was part of the rental agreement. The sale of the house went through February 2012 the sale of the house went through and since December 2012, I have been trying to cancel the debit order with ADT. I have been told I need to get hold of the previous owner's death certificate before they will be able to cancel the debit order.

I feel this is not my problem and I am not in contact with the relatives of the previous owners. I am also not able to change the password as this is not my account. This puts me at risk.

I want this cancelled as I am moving to another company.
