Account not transfered to new owners

We sold our house in Lotus Gardens last year November. We had an alarm system which the new owners have inherited. ADT is still sending me statement with my name on it. I called them on numereous occassions to get this sorted out and everytime they will tell me the account is not in my name anymore. The question is why do I still receive statements. Why is my name still on the statement. What will happen if the new owner default. Am I gonna be asked to pay because my name is still there. I'm sick and tired of this kind of unprofessionalism.
