Anyone considering buying a DSTV Drifta should think twice. I have been very disappointed with the device and its reliability.
Firstly the resolution is poor. When watching sport the scores are difficult, sometimes impossible to read.
Secondly the service is confined to major city centres. Wander out of town a bit and the device is useless.
Most importantly the service is unreliable. Many times I just get "The service is scrambled" (my account is up to date) and there seems to be no way to rectify this (or even find out what the problem is).
All in all I feel it is a waste of money.
