Booking Disgrace, Failure to honour booking

I had booked seats for Cirque Du Soleil in December 2012. I payed R1000 for my two tickets. They were an anniversary gift for my wife. We went for the show last night (21-03-2013) only to see that the seating plan was incorrectly arranged. The seating numbers were all swapped, so number one started at the end of the row as opposed to the beginning. Instead of us having incredible seats as I had planned and payed for, we were literally the last people in the corner. We could not see half the show. I approached the attendee who put me in contact with the production manager. His response was there was nothing he could do. It would have literally taken 10 minutes to correct the problem. This is totally unacceptable. At the time of my booking there were plenty seats still available and the ones I received would have been the last I would have picked. It was not only us that were amazed at this situation but our entire area had complained to no avail. According to the Consumer Protection Act, since I have paid via credit card I should receive a refund, which would still not be fair compensation for what we have missed. Please Advise
