No DsTV Service for 5 days!!!

I have a year long contract in the area and am thus a long term resident at the Guest House where I am staying. Last week the Decoder in my suite broke (according to the flashing code) and the owner was kind enough to go out and buy a new decoder immediately. I have been without DsTV since Friday to date (Wednesday) almost a week and this was the reason I got involved in order to try and assist the Guest House owner to resolve.

As the new Decoders are paired automatically with their own Smart Card, it was no longer a question of pairing the new decoder and old card. The old card and decoder had to be cancelled and the new decoder and new smart card loaded on the system. 2 Letters, numerous emails and several phone calls later and still nothing.

Everything has been done correctly from the Guest House part, but since the last email she sent them at 11h21, this morning until now at 16h22, the new smart card and decoder have still not been activated.

Is there some sort of vendetta... or is it just plain "I don't care" or is it "laziness"... I don't know, but what ever it is Eskom, City Councils, Telkom etc all suffer from it... LACK OF COMPETITION!!!
