I purchased a new pvr. The accredited dealer said it will work. After plug and play it did not work because of the 2 LNB issue I called the NOT so helpful call centre and was advised that I need to change some hardware. I dont get it. Dstv has there logo on the decoder why didnt they design it to be user friendly. Insead I must pay some one over and above to come and install it. Its like they lacked forethought and other companies are benefiting from this and a whole other industry has been born. These devices should be plug and play. Instead you sucked us into purchasing the unit more capital needs to be laid for labour and even more to get the recording functionality As end customers we rely on business etiquette, we don't need to read fine print, we trust that the business covers the customer in their best interest, so we can experience pleasure. I have just spoken to Thandi at DSTV and she has advised me that the Explorer does not need the 2 LNB configuration. If I do the simple math, the PVR is 1400 1000 for labour (2 LNB) This totals 2400 and the Explorer is selling for 2299 at Makro. Who at DSTV puts these packages together without doing this simple math. What an inconvenie
