Yesterday my girlfriend and I decided to take a nice day out to Gold reef city theme park only to arrive there and pay R180 per person.
On entering the theme park we walked in to find that there were at least 3 of the major rides not in operation stating that they were under maintenance.
I understand that these rides need to be maintained to be kept as safe as possibly for the public, however, I think that it is ridiculous to pay full price and u are not getting full value for money. If 3 or more of the major rides are not working, the rate should be decreased according to the amount of rides not in operation.
People do not travel to the theme park to ride on the vintage cars or lazy boats. They want the adrenaline rides.
On the whole we still had a good day out. We just thought the value for money wasn't quite there.
