On 29 June 2013 my family and i went to Gold Reef City Theme park for the day. It was during school holidays which is peak season so the price of the tickets were much more than the normal entrance fee. What was meant to be a fun day out for my kids turned out to be a complete disaster. There was
maintenance being carried out on most of the rides and they were closed. What a total disappointment and waste of money. I think that Tsogo Sun should have at least put out a sign at the entrance of the park stating which rides were out of order so that people could decide if they still wanted to enter the park and waste their time and money. These were some of the rides that were out of order: Lazy boat, Vintage cars, Runaway train, Golden loop, Giant wheel (completely gone), Miners revenge.
I am sure I'm one of many who were there that day and were really disappointed with this place which is a popular attraction in Jhb.
What a RIP OFF!!
