Yesterday I got home and found that my service was suspended again. On phoning the call centre, I was first told that I am in arrears by R7.00, which changed during our discussion to R26. I was told that I will have to pay the outstanding balance plus the next months subscription by 28 November.
On returning from the shops this morning, I received a message on my decoder that my service has been suspended because of the arrears of R26.90, and that I now have to pay a reconection fee again. On phoning the call centre they tried to reset the decoder and restore my service again. No success. I was told to wait an hour and then send a sms to 32472 with the code and then they will try again.
In the mean time I went to the shop and paid the subscription for next month plus a further R30 just to get my service back and to take up the fight with the accounts department next week about where these funny amounts come from. BUT I still do not have any service.
