No after-hours service in spite of advertising

I had to purchase a new DSTV decoder this morning October 8 at 11h00 a.m. and it was issued with a new SIM-card with number 4289 6650 969. I purchased that form the DSTV Pretoria outlet in Lynnwood Road.

Trying at 18h30 tonight to switch it on I got the message " E107-4 your SIM and decoder is not paired please phone the call centre."

Phoning the call centre in Pretoria on 012 442 2222 that early, there was no call centre! Trying to speak to an operator by pressing 0, only gave engaged tones

I tried their SMS service by texting E17 42896650969 to 32472 with the promise to reset my decoder within the next half hour.

That did not happen either.

Whilst the decoder and the sim card were issued simultaneously, why could they not pair the two in their shop?!!!

Multichoice/DSTV gives a false impression of giving an after-hours service which is clearly absent.
