Had the misfortune of going to Silverstar Casino two weeks ago for the ROCCI function. The waiter service was pathetic. Guests were already seated when the manager was allocating waiters to their tables. There were 2 free bottles of wine per table and when we ordered more and would pay for, they advised that there wasn't any! I went to the bar and the manager confirmed that there was no more. How can you not have wine at an evening function?? There was a broken bottle on the guest side of the bar with no one making an effort to clean it up. Coffee was served from the restaurant in take-away cups!! The waiters were untrained and had no idea how to take orders. It was a black tie function but the manager on duty was walking around in an orange open neck shirt! The food was shocking with the meat tough and the salads and vegetables limp & bland. Since Southern / Tsogo Sun took over this unit, standards have plummeted.
