On the 20th of August 2013, I took my Playstation 3 in for repairs at Part Serve. We were told it would cost about R1500 to replace the machine however they did not even take the time to look at the machine to see what the problem was with it, they instantly wanted to replace it instead of seeing if it could be repaired. The guy at the counter said that they don't even open it up, they just send it back to where ever they send it, I assume to Sony. We had the same problem around 2 years ago, with a different console which we paid around R5000 for, we then decided to exchange the device for R2500, the console we are now having the problem with was the one we exchanged for 2 years ago. Is this the lifetime of a Playstation 3?
