I subscribed to DSTV for my daughter in 2012, with a credit card deduction for the subscription. She moved out of her flat in Stellenbosch at end May. On or about 22nd of May, I physically removed the decoder and cancelled the subscription online. I did not stop the credit card deductions, because I thought building up a credit would be good for future price increases. Once when I logged in after that, I noticed that the subscription was active again. So, I thought that I had not done it properly and then verified that the system said that it was disabled. She moved back to Stellenbosch on 1 August. When I plugged in the decoder a message that the service had been suspended and that I should phone the call centre was displayed. When I logged in however, I noticed that the service was enabled. I phoned the call centre on 4 August, and the lady advised me that your system had enabled the subscription due to the credit card payments continuing. I also noted that I had been charged a reconnection fee, which I do not think should apply if I disconnect and reconnect. All of this was to be resolved, but it is now 2 weeks later and I still get messages to pay the outstanding amount.
