Last night my friends and I (8 of us) decided to watch Despicable Me 2 at Nu Metro Pavilion.
When we arrived in the foul smelling cinema, there were about 6 electric fans standing on the aisle which was back lit by a fluorescent light, those of us sitting near the aisle had to contend with the noise of the fans and the light throughout the movie. It was absolutely hot in the cinema.
As if that wasn't enough half way through the movie the screen became unfocused and blurred. We watched the rest of the movie like this.
To make things worse the movie switched off and we had to wait in the humidity whilst the movie slowly went back on.
I do understand that Nu Metro Pavilion is under construction. But do not let people enter the cinemas in this condition, fix them first. Movies are no longer cheap and we expect a quality experience. Humidity in a cinema is unacceptable. There were small children in that cinema, I'm pretty sure this violates health codes.
I unfortunately will not be going back to Nu Metro even if it is in the closest to me.
