Multichoice
DVB-S2 Transmission change

DSTV sent out an e-mail to their clients informing them of a change THEY are making to the transmission. You have to go to channel 425, which is the test channel to see if your setup is correct and ready for this DVB-S2 transmission change. If you get an error message, you must send an sms to 32445, with your suburb name and an accredited installer will be in contact with you in the next 24 hours. I've sent an sms to this number on two different dates and I'm still patiently awaiting an accredited installer to contact me.

I do not agree that the client should be liable for any costs for the installer to come out to initiate these set ups/upgrades or whatever needs to be done in order for the DVB-S2 switch over. DSTV is doing these transmission changes, they cannot expect their clients to pay for this! If you don't get these updates you will loose your HD channels! DSTV can at least accommodate their clients, for instance if they've contacted DSTV to change these settings before 30 June, it's at DSTV's cost, after the 30th is the clients responsibility as DSTV have informed their clients of the cut off date well in advance.
