Empty promises and outstanding payment

On signing up at Vodacom Golf Village I was told that as part of the offer I will also receive three personal lessons by one of their pros and also a few other things which I can't recall. It all sounded good and I joined. I was told that the pro would contact me the following Monday to schedule my first lesson but I never got that call. On my next visit I inquired about the free lessons at reception to which I got a bit of a confused stare in response. A manager was called who informed me that this is not part of the package but they will try and compensate for the mistake by the sales person who no longer worked there. They would call me to arrange a lesson. Again, they never did. Eventually, I cancelled my membership. This was around October 2012. Looking at my statements in 2013 I noticed they were still charging me. I called them up and they acknowledged there is an note on their system showing my cancellation and that they the payments is an error on their side. I have now been in contact with them for over a month to refund me on the payment. Call after call I get promised that it will be sorted out in a couple of days. Now however, I can't even get through.
