I inquired about piano / guitar lessons through MusicLessonsSouthAfrica where this so-called music school popped up. Mr. Ebedes responded saying he'd assist with 8 x 45 min lessons at the rate of R1000. I was hesitant to pay full amount and asked if I could pay a 50% deposit but Mr. Ebedes insisted on pre-payment. After several cancellations we eventually scheduled a double lesson on Saturdays, 45 min guitar, 45 min piano. We only had guitar as the piano was not booked in, a fault he blamed on his "assistant" Cele Du Plessis. More scheduling conflicts and lack of professionalism prompted me to ask for a refund. He apologized profusely and decided to comp the lesson and start afresh from March 2nd to which I stupidly agreed to. The day before I emailed to confirm the lesson. No response. I called him on his mobile to no response. He called back saying that the lesson would be moved to his private residence and not the music school on 23 Kloof Street Gardens. That morning he canceled again to which I demanded a refund. He agreed and said it would be settled by Monday 4.03.2013. He's gone silent since. A small claims and police case has been opened against him.
