On Saturday, 2nd March, my wife and I viewed a property for sale, found on the Property24 website, listed at R1, 199 999. It was only on show for 30 minutes, with no inidcation of any special requirements or limits to offers submitted to the owner, but liked it immediately.
We could not make an offer then, as we "had to come to their offices to submit a written proposal". We waited untill Monday morning 4 March 2013 and then called their office to submit an offer. When Mr. Wolfson finally called me back, he asked the conditions of our offer, being subject to the sale of our property, which we CONFIRMED at the viewing! Instead of explaining, he then proceeded to accuse me of not reading their add which I only learnt then, was posted on THEIR website at R1, 249 000. We were offering what we believed was the ASKING PRICE, of R1, 199 999. He then refused to talk further with me, and put the phone down. I was shocked!
I spoke later to his partner in ALLREALTY (wife, Glenda), who was no help, and then only informed me the owner would only accept direct purchase offers.
If we'd known, we wouldn't have wasted both our and their time!! Their aweful attitude leaves a LOT to be desired!
