Where is my deposit Janine Swift estate agent east london
For the past 2 months I have been fighting with estate agent Janine Swift to get my deposit back, to start off Janine made me and my husband believe that we are renting from Trafalgar properties, as she gave us a contract to sign on the trafalgar letter head and provided us with her work email, I walked into the house on our move in date and the house was a horror movie, dirt and insects everywhere. I contacted Janine Swift to advise her and asked her to send someone as I was pregnant and she should have been there to hand over. Janine Swift then made excuses and said she cant send anyone leaving us to clean the place. We then found out the roof was leaking in the main bedroom and the pipes, we made contact with Janine Swift and she said she will sort it out, For a year Janine Swift left the place and did not fix anything I had a new born baby and she advised me to put a bucket in the roof. After contacting her via phone on the 23rd April 2020 to advise that we need to move the next month she agree. I sent an email to advise we moving forward with the regulations relaxed. She then denied knowing we going to move. Janine Swift tried to bully me by using Trafalgars name to keep my money as she works for the company. After a private investagater contacted Janine Swift she gave her personal email to him but not me. Our contract ended 28th February 2020 and she claimed we still in a lease agreement until 2021. I contacted Janines boss Riana Barnard from Trafalgar properties east london and sent my side of the story and was advised to contact the housing tribunal, these agents use their company names to steal peoples money and bully them. then claim its a private property, Janine Swift requested we pay half the rent and I agreed then she came back claiming she want R5500 from my deposit. How is it fair for Trafalgar to allow their estate agents to use their contracts and take peoples money, Janine Swift advised her bosses know about her using the contract.. Janine Swift want people to pay a bond she took out as she requested I pay her bond as she doesnt have tenants. People like Janine Swift should not be allowed to work as an estate agent and use that power to steal from people as I always paid my rent and bcm bills on time now she wont pay my deposit cause she doesnt have tenants for her property. I have tried my best to resolve this issue and advised I will expose Janine Swift and was treatened.
