On the 13th November 2013, an incident occurred at Melrose arch. After dinner we were going home and it had been raining. The outside area is tiled prior to going under cover. Both my feet slipped from underneath me and I fell very hard, no warning at all. To make it worse I was carrying my 6 year old son who fell even harder. Withing a few seconds someone also slipped in the same place behind us. After 4 hours in casualty and x-rays my sons arm was put into a cast and his face bruised, I suffered internal bleeding in my elbow and was strapped along with an injured shoulder. It took Melrose 7 weeks, to tell me that they were not liable and I should have been more cautious. The whole incident is on CCTV. I was sent from pillar to post and at no point did anyone even bother to call me or even inquire as to how my son and myself were doing. They are using non liable terms and think that bulling the small guy will make it go away. No one from higher management took an interest, and I had to do all the calling, mailing and queries. Eventually legal department took over and in true bully style made it clear that the matter was closed. This is appalling and unacceptable.
