Just Letting Breached a contract we signed. We were supposed to move to Brampton Court in Four-ways on the 1st of February and on the 31st at night Zoe called us to say that the owner of the flat said that the occupants can only move on the 3rd February. On Friday we called her to deposit back our money so that we could look elsewhere they were now jumpy. Imagine the time and money wasted, we had hired a cheaper truck and packed everything already, today it is the 3rd and she says they can only move tomorrow. I understand that according to Consumer Protection Act a company can be fined due to false advertising and Breach of Contract.
We paid a full deposit and all the administration fees on the 25th of January 2013. The owner is not answering his or her phone. I wonder if we should make this a Police case? I will try to use all media available or within my reach to increase awareness.
