We have been seeking a new place to rent and got this place on Property 24. Our application was approved first by Agents, then by the owner. We then paid deposit to them so we could move in by 1 August 2013. Yesterday the agent came back saying the owner made a "human error" she does not want any children under 16 in apartment aperantly the owner has a "policy" stating this.
We gave up our current place because we were going to move in 1 August 2013.
My question, if these agents has been the agent for the owner for some time, SURELY they must have known this before advertising and NOT stating that there may not be any children under 16 years of age.
We now do not know if the agents is taking chances and if it is for real. Can we take this matter further as we now have to move by the end of the month and was depending on this flat thats why we have made the deposit?
