I would like to express my dissatisfaction in being ignored by Adrienne Hersch Properties (AHP). After finding a photo owned in full by Lauren Kim Photography (LKP) used in the Saturday Star Property section by AHP without credit or LKP's consent I called AHP to point out the mis-use and asked if they had intention to credit the photographer. I was told by the advertising rep that they would do it "next time". As this was not acceptable LKP sought legal council and sent a letter of request for payment of the photo which was acknowledged by AHP on 1 November. The request was then ignored without even the decency of justifying their stand point. I'm sure AHP was just hoping we would let it go. I will now be going through the hassle of sending a claim from the Johannesburg Small Claims Court, because AHP cannot continue to unlawfully use someone else's intellectual property and ignore the consequences.
