As I previously mentioned; I joined Tissa - The Income Solution South Africa (all 3 sectors) on 21 November 2012. After receiving the documents I decided that this was not for me. I sent a cancellation request on 24 November 2012 and it was refused.
The Consumer Protection Act states that should you not receive all documentation prior to payment you are entitled to a full refund if you decide to cancel within 5 working days after receipt of the complete documentation package. This is to give you an opportunity to make an informed decision.
After much communication I was told to try it and fail or forget about a refund.
I approached the Small Claims Court. They gave me the Letter of Demand required and all other documentation at no charge. I completed the Letter of Demand and posted it registered mail. I received one email quoting numerous Small Claims Court Acts for cause of actions. I simply replied that it is in court that we will litigate.
Today, 04 April 2013, I received my full refund.
The point is if, after making an informed decision, you decide that an opportunity is not for you, you are entitled to a full refund as per the CPA. DO NOT be bullied. GO SMALL CLAIMS COURT.
