We rented a place from Alcus for a week. Reason being that property was a mess, garage were full of boxes and stuff, front door and security gate could not lock, there were thorns the whole yard full. My husband found the place, and it seemed like a nice place. A day before we had to move out of previous place we received paperwork with amounts to be paid. were shocked to see that they wanted 1 and a half times rent for deposit, never heard of such thing. Told LaRochelle that we did not budget for such amounts. She had the cheeck to send a mail to my work where everyone saw the mail, threatening me to be out at 17h00 the certain day if I did not pay the extra money immediately.
I phoned and informed her that after a week we are moving out. Now we have to pay the new deposit and rent, and although they are with FNB as I am, they are refusing to take the Pro rata and pay over my monies. The lady that I now are renting from, is threatening to put me out this weekend if she does not get her money. I have two small children and will not put up with this!!! I will take ALCUS to the press if I have to!!! They are making it difficult for themselves refusing to give my money back.
