So we rented a place, our landlord being rae hilton. When we moved in we gave a list of defects and was told this would be dealt with. along the line our plumbing completely stopped working and we went without water for about a week but we were still forced to pay our full amount of rent for that particular month. as appalling as this is we have now found another place to live and gave notice the 26 august to vacate NO LATER THAN MIDDAY 20 sept, but as the place is now registered we will be moving sooner. because of this we decided that the deposit money can be used for rent and whatever else is required since we will only still living here for a few more days to our knowledge the owner wishes to sell and wld like the place empty to do so. first re claims she knws noting about the mail with the notice so I mailed it again highlighting the date and time in red to which i get a letter if demand and a threat to be blacklisted. If I cannot use my deposit money then pay it back and i will pay the rent either way there was a time when we did not even have working water and was still forced to pay. this is truly ridiculios and we do not owe any money and have always paid on time.
